Software Reliability Models

Abstract This article is devoted in its entirety to software reliability models. Our intention is to expose readers to the different types of software reliability models found in the software reliability literature. To achieve this objective, the first section of this article is devoted to the definitions required for understanding the concepts that come thereafter. The second section is devoted to an overview of specific classes of models illustrated by representative examples. The third section reviews the current applications made of these different models.
