Sistema de Apoyo al Aprendizaje Diagnostico Utilizando Perfiles de Usuario: EndoDiag II

In this Technical Report we describe EndoDiag II, a learning support system to endodontics diagnosis. This system has the goal of strengthen the students knowledge adquired through the clinical practice. EndoDiag II allows the student’s training by the resolution of different clinical cases reflecting real situations of the professional practice. EndoDiag II incorporated a base of clinical cases and a user profile to store the student evolution, personalizing the selection of cases reflecting situations of the professional practice. The initial profile it is based in the academic level and clinical experience of the student. This profile is in turn updated by means of the students interaction with the system taking into account the preformance he reached in the treatment of the different cases. Endodontic specialists considered that the base of clinical cases is an important extension to the system. They even find that the system, by means of the user profile, accomplishes an adequate selection of a clinical situation for each student.
