MSMQ COM and Win32 API

Arohi Redkar, Carlos Walzer, Scot Boyd, Richard Costall, Ken Rabold, Tejaswi Redkar · Apress eBooks · 2004

In this chapter, we explore the basic operations in MSMQ using unmanaged C++ to access the COM and Win32 MSMQ APIs. For each API we show you how to create, delete, open, or close a queue, and send or receive a message. We also demonstrate how to receive a message asynchronously using both the COM and Win32 APIs, and how to use the new LookupID property, which Microsoft introduced in MSMQ 3.0 for Windows XP. Finally, you’ll learn how to access the COM API from within the managed .NET environment using C#. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
