Windows Communication Foundation and Web API
Alex Mackey, William Tulloch, Mahesh Krishnan · Apress eBooks · 2012
In this chapter, you will be introduced to all the changes that have been made in .NET 4.5 with respect to Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). These changes include the use of async-await from the client side, improvements made to WCF configuration, and the inclusion of new bindings— HttpsBinding and UdpBinding. In addition, you will also learn about Web API, which is the new way of creating RESTful services. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
