Putting the pieces together-integrating the applications

This paper studies issue of integrating the elements of Transport Telematics with the objective of providing more effective control than is possible without integration. The author focuses on the two sides to the question of integration: the technologies that are available and the services which are demanded. The paper concludes with a look at what is coming in DRIVE II in the Community's 3rd Framework Program, and speculates on what might follow it in the next Framework Program.
