[ABSTRACT]We have added a real-time interactive fuzzy reasoning system and neural network simulator to theMAX real-time music programming language. This environment allows us to quickly prototype and experiment with Neural,Fuzzy, and Neuro-Fuzzy systemsfor control ofreal-time musicalprocesses. In this paper we introduce our tools and discussmusical contexts that cailfor the adaptive and generalization capabilities ofthese systems.
