The present state of integrated communication metering systems

The author looks at meter reading and standardisation using integrated communication metering systems. Direct local reading using the ZVEI protocol is also discussed. Readout of a load profile using a TARIGYR 600 with hand terminal, a TARIGYR 600 with TARICOM modem, and a TARIGYR 400 with data over voice telephone channel is presented.
