Nonlinear filtering with adaptation to local properties of the image

Different approaches to the construction of digital nonlinear filters that operate by use of local image properties are offered. Structures of nonlinear filters with variable nonlinear-component weight and parametric adaptation are considered. The effectiveness of the proposed methods of filtering is illustrated by the examples of the additive Gaussian and impulse noise suppression.
