Internet connectivity: a novel approach to remote camera control, message and caller ID retrieval.

In this paper, the current state of technology for remote control and monitoring, via the Internet, is discussed. A novel approach for a low cost remote camera control, using DTMF tones, and Internet messenger (chat) programs is presented. A wireless messenger headset for hands free internet-based chatting is introduced, and finally, as an application of the Internet, to telecommunications, the design and implementation of a remote telephone message and caller-ID retrieval system, is presented.
