Can liveness detection defeat the m-commerce hackers?

Biometric authentication is predicted to have a significant impact on mobile payments and m-commerce. This presents a challenge to the biometrics industry to ‘up its game’ regarding liveness detection. This article looks at the use of biometrics in mobile payments, the resulting exposure to authentication (spoof) attacks, how these attacks might be perpetrated and what liveness detection solutions are available to mitigate them.
