Computational linguistics meets metadata, or the automatic extraction of key words from full text content

For the past year, the Centre for Computing in the Humanities (CCH), at King’s College London (www.kcl.ac.uk/cch) ) and the Forced Migration Online (www.forcedmigration.org) team at the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford (www.rsc.ox.ac.uk) have been working together to investigate the use of computational linguistics techniques for extraction of keywords from fulltext content in a pilot project funded by the Andrew W Mellon Foundation.
