A redundant timing source for digital telecommunication network synchronization

The problems which occur in synchronization of digital telecommunication networks are described. The architecture of the FTS 3800 timing signal generator is described. The 3800 has been designed to respond to some of the problems with existing synchronization equipment. Details of the design and performance are presented.>
