Research on shiftability of wavelet packet subbands decomposition for echo cancellation

Adaptive echo cancellation using the wavelet packet subband decomposition can reduce the computation burden significantly, but suffers from the problem of non-shiftability. An approach to adjust the original wavelet function intended to solve this problem is proposed. The relationship between perfect reconstruction (PR) and shiftability is also discussed.
