Diversity transmission as a method to increase the transmission quality of spread spectrum systems
A. Scheibel · 2002
The performance of a spread spectrum system using diversity is investigated. A pulsed Gaussian jammer is taken into consideration as an additional noise signal. The basis for the theoretical investigations is the suboptimal receiver structure as known from the literature on the assumption of ideal supplementary information that has been extended by a mathematical function. The most important result that can be derived from the computed bit error probabilities is the increased efficiency when using diversity. Even in case of non-ideal receiver synchronization, the gain of performance is not strongly decreased.>
