LAN interconnection through X.25 router on PC

The local area network has been used widely in office automation and information communication. It is most economical for small and medium organizations to connect up their LANs through a Public Switching Network. X.25 is still the least expensive way to connect standalone LANs over WAN through dial up lines or dedicated lines. Though its performance is not as efficient as a point-to-point leased line, it is most suitable for small scale LAN to interconnect to other LANs in the world. Using a personal computer as a X.25 router has increasing power as the memories and processor speed have increased greatly.
