REPORT ON A SATURABLE TRANSFORMER REGULATED HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLY

A saturable-transformer-regulated high-voltage supply is described. The system consists of a saturable transformer, solid-state rectifier, two transistors, and the necessary resistors and capacitors. The supply is competitive in performance with those used in Geiger and proportional counting. Test results and mathematical analysis are included. (J.R.D.)
