Applying the IEEE 1471-2000 Recommended Practice to a Software Integration Project

Rikard Land · 2003

This paper describes an application of the IEEE Standard 1471-2000, "Recommended practice for architectural description of softwareintensive system" in a software integration project. The recommended practice was introduced in a project without affecting its schedule and adding very little extra costs, but still providing benefits. Due to this "lightweight" introduction it is dubious whether it will be continually used within the organization.
