Charaterization and Estimation of Elevation-Azimuth Dispersion of Individual Path Components

In this contribution, the density function of the Fisher-Bingham-5 distribution is used to describe the shape of the elevation-azimuth power spectrum of individual path components in the radio channel response. The maximum likelihood estimator of the parameters of the power spectrum is derived and applied to measurement data. Preliminary results are presented which illustrate the applicability of the characterization method in real environments.
