Digital image processing via an expert system

In this paper different strategies of proceeding obtained via an experimental prototype of expert system for digital image processing (SEPDI) are presented. The strategies were obtained beginning with the image nature and from the work goals on it. The SEPDI is a small general purpose expert system in the field of digital image processing, which deals with image enhancement, edge detection, noise suppression and a procedure for image restoration.
