Comparative Evaluation of Digital Fragile Image Watermark Algorithms

Fragile digital watermark techniques provide effective solutions for multimedia content authentication and tamper-detection. This paper gives an overview of fragile digital watermark for image authentication, including the background, the basic characteristics and current algorithms. The performance of four fragile watermark algorithms in terms of their probabilities under signal processing operations is compared, such as cutting, scaling, JPEG compression and malicious alteration. The future orientations of research are prospected in the end.
