Finite‐Geometry Codes

Abstract In this article, the constructions of linear block codes based on finite geometries are introduced. These finite geometry codes are related to another class of codes, namely low density parity check (LDPC) codes. The decoding of finite geometry codes exploiting the structure of finite geometries as well as methods developed for LDPC codes is then described.
