A statistical approach for examining internet traffic: METU-NET case
Cüneyt Sevgi · International Conference WWW/Internet · 2004
A number of empirical studies on traffic measurements from a wide range of packet networks have verified that actual network traffics are self-similar or longe-range dependent in nature in contrast to commonly made traffic modeling assumptions. This study deals with the statistical analyses of data networks. Statistical analyses including stationarity, self-similarity of aggregate traffic stream between METU-NET and the Internet were carried out.
