Slab defect diagnosis and predicting system in CC processing based on rough set theory

This paper discusses a method of using the rough set theory in a continuous casting (CC) slab defect diagnosis and predicting system. The knowledge representation system is used as a tool to unveil the redundancy. The results obtained show that the rough set theory is practical.
