On a free boundary problem in fluid mechanics

The two-dimensional, steady flow of an incompressible, irrotational, inviscid fluid moving towards a porous wall is considered. We establish existence and uniqueness theorems for this problem. Using a finite element method, we compute the solution of the problem for two examples
