Proposal and Study for an Architecture Hardware∕software for the Implementation of the Standard H264

In this study we have presented a proposal architectural hardware/software for the implementation of the H.264 standard, which means a processor‐specific for H.264 standard use of it a hard part and a configurable embedded processor, which is LEON2 in our case. The motion estimation and compensation, the integer numbers transformation, the quantification, the algorithm of entropy encoding uses in the coder H.264 are optimized in material form; the other parts over the operating system are implemented by LEON2 processor.
