Grasp of road work information and its best use

Of all categories of traffic information, road work information is extremely important to drivers for their selection of an optimum route. With the provision of accurate information without fail, traffic congestion attributable to road works may be relieved or reduced. However, within the Kyoto Prefectural Police HQ, there was no department that had a unified grip on road use permission. Therefore, the Police HQ has constructed a system which can collect and provide road work information more accurately and more expeditiously by making the best use of existing systems including the Internet.
