Infinitely many expansions of compatible clones over $p$-groups when the normal subgroup lattices split

In this note we prove that there exist infinitely many expansions of compatible clones over a $p$-group if its subgroup lattice splits strongly. This gives a complete characterization on $p$-groups about the existence of finitely of infinitely many expansions.
