Dynamics of Genetic Algorithms in Optimization Problems

In a recent paper, we have studied the fixed-temperature Monte Carlo dynamics in several different optimization problems and found that they share many common features. In this paper, we study the dynamics of genetic algorithms in these optimization problems. Our conclusion is that the common features shared in the fixed-temperature Monte Carlo dynamics also exist in genetic algorithms. PACS. 02.60.Pn – Numerical optimization.
