Passive replicator for magnetic bubbles
Terence John Nelson · AIP conference proceedings · 1975
The design and operation of a passive magnetic bubble replicator are described. Operation has been achieved with 6 micron bubble materials in a 25 Oe field rotating at 100 kHz. The bias margins are comparable to those for propagation, although there is some loss at the high end, where the limit is analogous to that for detection. Th number of interconnections to a magnetic bubble memory device, or the complexity of its drive circuitry, could be reduced by incorporation of the passive replicator. The design also represents an important step towards the development of devices that can be fabricated with a single level of fine‐feature photolithography.
