Generalized Boolean Descriptors for Biological Macromolecules

Éena Jakó, Theodore E. Simos, George B. Maroulis · AIP conference proceedings · 2007

A novel Boolean algebraic approach is proposed allowing numerical and graph‐theoretical characterization of the primary structures for natural length macromolecules. The proposed method is based on some canonical analytical representations of binary n‐cube subsets, called as Iterative Canonical Normal Forms (or ICF) of Boolean Functions. It is shown that separational properties of binary n‐cube subsets are important prerequisites for their application to identification and classification in different fields.
