A process is described for the semi-automatic encapsulation of pellets and deflector screen spacers in suitable containers for cardiac pacemaker applications. In this process, a given number of containers and reference points are arranged alternately in a line alon a movable track, the distance between a container and an adjacent reference point being constant. The containers and reference points are made to pass one at a time above a charger containing the pellets. The pellets are successively taken and raised above the track when the reference points pass above the charger. They are then allowed to fall to the bottom of the container. After this process has been completed, a second operstion is begwn. In this operation, the moving track is stopped and a second track bearing the deflector screen spacers is brought toward the first track, the relative positions of the two tracks being such that each deflector screen spacer becomes positioned above a corresponding container in such a way thst they can be simultaneously encapsulated by the operation of a manual control.
