An advanced distributed architecture for telemonitoring services

This paper presents the results of the European Community research project ADA, Advanced Distributed Architecture for Telemonitoring Services. The project main purpose is to provide a framework for the development of a distributed sensor network. Main elements of the system architecture are identified and their functions are discussed. An outline of a possible implementation based on the Jini™technology is provided.
