A computer network for the maintenance of telephone exchanges

A description is presented of a computer-based network which was specifically developed for maintenance of the public telephone crossbar exchanges in the Lisboa, Portugal, area. The network topology and functionality are presented. The protocol architecture, software structure, and implementation aspects are also described.>
