The future of high-energy physics
J.D. Bjorken · AIP conference proceedings · 1985
The present status of the theoretical aspects of High Energy Physics is the standard model of Quantum Chromodynamics and the electroweak SU(2)xU(1) model. The future is dependent upon the outcome of a number of shortfalls the theory has when compared with physical reality. (These shortfalls are listed in the article). A high energy machine such as the SSC project is needed to determine the outcome of these shortfalls. (AIP)
