AN ADAPTIVE SCHEDULING FOR AUTOMOBILE CONTROL USING IMPRECISE COMPUTATION AND ITS EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION

Shinji Inoue, Fuminori Nakanishi, Yoshiaki Kakuda, Kenji Toda · IEICE Transactions on Communications · 2001

This paper describes how the concept of imprecise computation to automotive control on highways can be applied assuming an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Automobile collisions are induced by the deadline violation of tasks for automobile control. In order to avoid a collision and increase throughput, the paper proposes adaptive scheduling using imprecise computation. Results from simulation experiments involving adaptive scheduling for automobile control are presented.
