Adaptive QoS Management via Multiple Collaborative Agents

Alex Bordetsky · 2001

Chapter four explores the issues of adaptation layers and agent supported feedback controls for managing the multipoint multimedia communications. It targets the issues of agent based adaptive management at the TMN service management layer and integration of service management layer feedback controls with the network layer adaptive tools. In the described experimental architecture the case-based reasoning agents' memory is used for capturing feedback controls models and for support of agents individual adaptation. Collaborative adaptation models are based on applying the known multi-participant group decision support communication models to the QoS conflicts resolution in the multiple agents environment.
