Tracking task ontology

Tia B. Walton · Journal of computing sciences in colleges · 2004

The knowledge involved in tracking a ballistic missile in the boost phase, the first three minutes after its launch, is quite crucial. An intelligent system that would track the missile would use different types of sensors and be able to communicate with the Global Positioning System. The Global Positioning System and radar play a major part in the development of my research because each gives valuable information that must be turned into knowledge. The Global Positioning System gives actual latitude and longitude while the radar provided altitude.
