A new efficient implementation of CSP with output guards

S. Ramesh · TU/e Research Portal · 1987

A new efficient implementation of CSP that allows output commands to appear in guards, has been presented in this paper. The distinguishing features of this implementation are: (i) it satisfies all the efficiency criteria that have been stated in the literature, (ii) it performs better than the existing implementations and (iii) it can be directly extended to an efficient implementation for multiprocess synchronization mechanisms. The proposed implementation is presented in three steps and has been proved to he correct satisfying all the efficiency criteria. The complexity analysis of the implementation has also heen carried out which brings out the better performance of the implementation.
