Analytical Design of Biquadratic Filter Sections for Parametric Filters

A number of closed form solutions for the design of biquadratic bandpass, low pass, and high pass analog or digital filters meeting prescribed specifications and having unity gain stopbands have been derived. Cascading one of these biquadratic sections per frequency band results in a multiband gain equalizer where the filter characteristics within each band can be easily modified in response to user initiated requests.
