College student views of computer science: opinion survey
Anatole D. Ruslanov, Andrew P. Yolevich · Journal of computing sciences in colleges · 2010
A group of college students has been surveyed for their perception and knowledge of computer science. Ignorance of the field was observed. The data obtained suggest inadequate instruction and career counseling, particularly at the high school level. The survey results imply that high schools could do a better job educating the students about career opportunities in computer science fields.
