Feature interaction detection using SDL models
B. Kelly, Michael J. Crowther, J. King · 2002
This paper presents a practical approach to detecting feature interactions. It is based on developing models of feature behaviour using the language SDL. With the aid of tool support, models are used as the basis for analysing the dynamic behaviour of interacting features. Feature interactions are identified where the behaviour of a feature model differs from the normally expected behaviour of the feature. Our experiences with two types of model are presented in this paper: a Centrex service model and an service plane model. A number of features were modelled for each of these and the models used to validate service packages for BT's network.
