AN ELECTROLYTIC ANALOG FOR REACTOR HEAT TRANSFER PROBLEMS

P. Anthony, G. Friedensohn · OSTI OAI (U.S. Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information) · 1957

An electrolytic analog capable of solving two-dimensional steady-state heat transfer problems involving distributed heat sources and a variety of boundary conditions has been designed, constructed, and tested. The design was based on the results of an analytical and experimental program described in report NDA 57-30. A sample prohiem, whose solution was known, was run on the analog. A comparison of the analog solution with the known solution indicated a standard deviation of less than one percent. (auth)
