Steven C. Dillon · QUT ePrints (Queensland University of Technology) · 2005
This paper examines philosophical tenets drawn from doctoral research into the meaning of music to children and applies these philosophical principles of personal, the social and cultural meaning to the development of interactive generative music making software for children. The presentation argues that there are implications for the design of expressive music making tools/instruments that may be transferable to'auditing' the meaning gained when using music technology in the production of music.
