A STABILITY RESULT IN FIXED POINT THEORY

Let K be a compact convex subset of a Banach space. We consider a complete metric space of all the continuous self-mappings of K and show that a typical element of this space (in the sense of Baire category) has a fixed point which is stable under small perturbations of the mapping.
