Local recognition of graphs, buildings, and related geometries
Arjeh M. Cohen · 1990
Abstract Brief overview of results and problems concerning the local recognition f graphs is given, and special attention is drawn toward graphs related to uildings. here Xstands for the class of all grids.Although it was probably apparent to quite a few finite group theorists 1at some of the local characterization problems in the classification of finite local recognition problems for graphs. These are the two main reasons by I want to survey what is known on the local recognition problem.Much of the material in this paper can be found scattered in [BCN 989]. For notions of shadow space, point-line geometry and the like, the ader is referred to [Cob 1986].
