Design of discrete valued coefficient FIR filters using frequency response masking

This paper presents a modified frequency response masking structure which is suitable for design of filters with discrete valued coefficients. The proposed structure is able to achieve much smaller peak ripple than traditional frequency response masking structures for a given coefficient precision.
