Towards an Interoperable IT Platform for Better Coordination of Crisis Response

Matthieu Lauras, Aurélie Charles, Sébastien Truptil, Frédérick Bénaben · 2012

This chapter presents the way one specific use-case (nuclear crisis) could be implemented to stimulate the SOCEDA platform and demonstrates its features. The global objective is to define workflows and web-services simulating the crisis management and using the SOCEDA platform to run and adapt the overall behavior. The chapter develops this approach in order to turn the whole “natural language” use case description into a set of relevant, representative and usable business process models containing the numerous pieces of information, interactions and events to take into account in such a situation. The French SOCEDA project aims at designing an event management platform. Each WebService will be able to generate events that will be sent to a special service of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). This special service is in charge of gathering events, translating them into an appropriate format for further processing and sending them to the cloud platform of SOCEDA.
