Building a Learning System

Parag A. Kulkarni · 2012

The objectives of the learning system are to allow use of all information resources and build a framework conducive for learning. The learning system needs to consider all aspects of data acquisition, machine learning, knowledge building, and knowledge reuse. The concepts of learning from experience, use of exploration, and exploitation of complete knowledge base need to be used while building a learning system. The learning system building is based on system's best estimate of objective reality. The systemic intelligent learning system needs to handle open, dynamic, heterogeneous knowledge building to handle new scenarios effectively. Feedback is based on the error. Proper algorithm selection has to be done for achieving high throughput, low cost, and low-power implementations. In systemic machine learning, complexity and data will create unbounded learning opportunities rather than restricting learning by events and uncertainties. Controlled Vocabulary Terms learning (artificial intelligence); learning systems
