Teachers' evaluation using genetic algorithms with 'transformation'
S.J. Alam · 2004
This study focuses on the area of modeling a teacher's evaluation and the ability to influence their impact on both students and colleagues. The goal is to model a teacher's ability to adapt, learn and improve their performance based on the interaction with students and fellow faculty members. Our work is inspired from Nowak's model from social sciences (Nowak, A. and Latane, B., 1994) and further incorporates external influence in the attitude of a teacher. A prototype set of characteristics, or chromosomes, and a set of alleles when a teacher's overall performance is represented as a candidate solution are suggested. Finally, the representation scheme and extension to traditional GA is put forward.
