Theory of Vibration Measurement

Peter H. Sydenham · Handbook of Measuring System Design · 2005

Abstract Vibration is the term given to a bracket of mechanical measurands, acceleration being the prime use as its determination allows displacement, velocity, motion, and jerk to be generated. General principles of vibration as a variable are presented along with the mathematical description that enables vibration behavior to be understood.
